My Process
I always start by identifying the client's requirements, game visual fidelity & Art Direction.
For concept art, the initial stage is establishing a visual direction via refs/
moodboard
/thumbs
/roughs. If detailed variants are needed, they will naturally come at the end.
For 3d modeling, I usually make a blockout model to ensure the shape feels good, before doing a highpoly pass (if applicable). I then proceed to lowpoly, while starting deformation tests to ensure a good riggable character. Texturing comes at the very end.
